The Merry Pranksters is a term coined for those who promoted the psychedelic lifestyle that was brought about by the use of LSD as a mind-expanding substance. The bus trip that inspired the novel “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test” started in June 14, 1964. Several young people who advocated the use of psychedelic drugs, particularly LSD, boarded a bus named “Furthur” and started to travel from one coast to another “The Death of the Mind” is a multimedia art project that was created by Thomas Leary. This piece of art attempts to demonstrate how LSD consumption affects the brain. Leary went to several campuses with this piece to inspire students to follow their own psychedelic religions.
