The bus trip that inspired the novel “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test” started in June 14, 1964. Several young people who advocated the use of psychedelic drugs, particularly LSD, boarded a bus named “Furthur” and started an eastward journey.
“The Death of the Mind” is a multimedia art project that was created by Thomas Leary. This work attempts to show how LSD consumption affects the mind. Leary went to several campuses with this piece to encourage students to follow their own psychedelic religions.
